*      Assign students to groups:

 

 

1.    Each student will be assigned a specific duty

2.    Brainstorming Stage-Each group will discuss which project to choose and how to plan for it

3.    Students are assigned to a station for at least 45 minutes.

4.    Each group will visit each station in the given times.

5.    Meet the whole group to discuss their progress.

*      Reflection and Discussion on yesterday’s progress

*      Group leader report group project status

*      Reiterate each stations task

*      Preparation for Zoo Trip (selected students from each group)

o   Students will prepare interview questions for zoo personnel.

o   Students will research the Internet to find a particular area in the zoo to focus on video footage.

o   Students will take photos/video and gather information in a journal. 

 

 

 

 

10:00 - Lunch

 

 

*      Break into groups (4-5 students for each group)

 

 

1.    Storyboard/Scripting Pre-Production-Students will use a template to formulate their idea of the project.  (Requires drawing and writing)

2.    Video/Filming Production- Students will how to use a video camera (including uploading, import/export, video format, camera angles, lighting, etc.)

3.    iMovie Set-up- Students will learn the basic features of iMovie.  Students will use their storyboard template to set-up the movie elements (like background, transitions, effects)

4.    GarageBand Production-Students will learn how to create a song using various instruments (piano, guitar, drums).  Students test various samples of music to create their own.

 

 

 

 

After Lunch – 2:45

 

 

      *   Groups reconvene, Share, continue to work

 

 

2:45 – 3:00

 

 

      *   Discuss the expectations for Wednesday

*      Break into groups (4-5 students for each group)

*      Reiterate each stations task, especially how to upload the Zoo video footage

*      Goal of the Day is Post-Production of all group projects

*      Break into groups (4-5 students for each group) Groups will finalize projects

 

 

1.    Storyboard/Scripting Pre-Production-Students will make final modification to storyboard before editing the iMovie.

2.    Video/Filming Production- Students will upload the zoo footage and edit scenes with iMovie.

3.    iMovie Set-up- Students will make final transitions, effects, and begin to add audio from GarageBand. 

4.    GarageBand Production-Students will finalize their music creation and upload it to their iMovie project file.

 

 

After Lunch – 2:00

*      Groups finalizing projects

*      Students will refer to the Checklist

*      Students will prepare for presentation of projects (who going to present, how is it going to be presented, etc.)

 

 

2:00 – 3:00

 

 

*      Each group will share with the class what they have accomplished for the week.

*      Teacher will inform students of Friday’s set up and expectations.

 

 

Friday

9:15 – 9:30

Prayer!

*      Reflection and Discussion on yesterday’s project progress

*      Group leader report group project status and report Checklist

*     

 

 

 

9:30 - Lunch

 

 

*      Remind groups of original expectations and discuss how and who will present their project (Practice)

*      Make finalization to projects, if necessary. 

*      Goal of the Day:  Show out and Shine!

*      Final Touches on Projects
